The Pootalian is an intentional cross, not a kennel-club breed with a single written standard. Two dogs from the same pairing can differ in size, coat, and temperament, because each puppy inherits a different mix of traits from the contributing breeds. When a Poodle is one of the parents, the coat may be curly, wavy, or straight, and low shedding is not guaranteed.
The portrait is an illustration of one possible look for this pairing. Individual dogs from the same cross can differ in size, coat, color, and build.
A Pootalian pairs an Italian Greyhound with a Poodle, usually a Toy. Size is small. The body may keep the IG's fine, arched outline. The coat is wavy or curly rather than the IG's short silk.
Grooming is required. Fine bones and cold weather are limits. They are house dogs. Handle them carefully. Low shedding is possible, not promised.
